Touchless Car Wash Aftercare in Grand Island, NE
After your 308 Quality Auto Spa detail or coating, keep the finish clean with touchless washes: wait two weeks after a coating, skip brushes and wax options, use the spot-free rinse and dry the vehicle completely.
Where this advice comes from
The steps below follow Ceramic Pro's published aftercare guide for ceramic coatings (opened October 28, 2026). Our coatings are CQuartz and synthetic ceramic; if your coating's maker gives different care steps, follow theirs.
First two weeks after a coating
- Do not wash the vehicle for at least two weeks. Ceramic Pro says curing takes 2 to 3 weeks depending on humidity and temperature.
- Keep it out of rain, sprinklers and fog where you can, and avoid parking under trees.
- Do not let bird droppings, bugs, sap or pollen sit for more than a few days.
Using a touchless (non-touch) automatic wash
- Touchless automatic washes are acceptable.
- Bring a large microfiber drying towel and dry the vehicle completely before you leave, to avoid water spots.
- Never choose a wash with brushes or cloth that touches the paint.
Using a self-serve wash bay
- Pre-rinse with water only to remove loose dirt.
- Apply the high-pressure soap to the whole vehicle and let it dwell for a few minutes.
- Rinse with high pressure. Do not use the bay's brush.
- Finish with the spot-free, low-pressure rinse if there is one. Skip any "wax" option.
- Dry with clean microfiber towels before you drive off.
Products and habits to avoid
- Soaps with wax or petroleum distillates, or with a pH under 5 or over 9.
- Washing in direct sun or on a panel that is warm to the touch.
- Wax or paint sealant on top of the coating.
- Letting the car air-dry: tap water leaves mineral spots.
Water spots
Wash first. If spots remain, Ceramic Pro suggests a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and distilled water: spray, wait 30 seconds, wipe and dry with a plush microfiber towel. If they are still there, ask us.
Let us keep it up for you
A maintenance membership (from $100/month) keeps the vehicle on a schedule so the finish never gets far behind.
